Virtual Private Networks (VPNs)
Unlike the DNS trick used by Unlocator, another trick is to use Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) to encrypt and tunnel all your of your internet traffic through a network located in another country which also tricks streaming services such as Netflix that you are located in that country.
The disadvantage of VPNs is that they can slow down all of your internet access by diverting your traffic through a server in the another country. Another disadvantage is VPNs won’t work on devices such as Smart TVs and Blu-ray players.
The advantage of VPNs is that it hides and encrypts your traffic which might be important to you given how governments around the world are now moving to track and record everything you do online.
