Backcountry (2015) is a horror thriller movie about a suburban couple who go camping in the woods but, after getting lost, become hunted by a terrifying black bear. This movie is like Jaws but, instead of the ocean, it’s in the woods and, instead of a great white shark, it’s a great black bear.
If Jaws left you too scared to swim in the ocean, Backcountry aims to leave you too scared to go into the woods.
Backcountry was directed and written by Adam McDonald starring Missy Peregrym (Reaper series), Jeff Roop, Eric Balfour (24 season 6 series) and Nicholas Campbell and is schedule for its US release on 20 March 2015.
